EPFO enrols 82 lakh under Employees' Enrolment Campaign 2017. Lessons Govt Learnt from the success of Reliance Jio. 82 Lakh Eligible Employees have been Enrolled and I won't be surprised if this number crosses 10 Million by 30th June'17. This is the level of Statutory Compliance in India. But not only Employers, Govt & Labour Law Offices are also responsible equally for all this mess. People believe Income Tax but fact is Labour Law Offices are one of top corrupt departments in India. For SMEs to execute payroll on time is a challenge, and to discharge other liabilities or meet compliance is a serious problem. Without collateral even no Bank/FI extends any helping hand, in spite of so many plans announced by Govt for startup. Like in European Countries, If any company finds difficult to cope with statutory compliance due to some genuine reasons, instead of imposing heavy penalty, Govt must support and help such companies. If it happens, no power can stop compliance level to go upto 99% in India. After GST, if India needs reform in any area, It is Labour Laws. Thanks. #EPFO
